Ever since its beginnings the Tissue Viability Society has published a scientific and clinical journal - in its first format this was called Care - Science and Practice (issued from 1981 to 1990). In 1990 the journal was renamed the Journal of Tissue Viability. Indexed in MEDLINE, PubMed, CINAHL, AMED and EMBASE this quarterly publication features a range of peer-reviewed papers. Full-text articles are available on Science Direct
In any society there will be news and events relevant to members which would probably not be covered in an academic journal. To keep all members abreast of current news a monthly newsletter is produced - and members can access the current issue (and back copies) on this site.
The Tissue Viability Society also produces clinical guidance documents and the first of these - Seating and Pressure Ulcers is available free to members.
