Pressure ulcers are back in the national news.
According to Heidi Guy, TVS Trustee, today's article in the Daily Mail 'Bed Sores: How Does Your Local Hospital Compare' (see www.dailymail.co.uk) is 'quite balanced, relatively informed' and does not contain as many factually incorrect comments as she might have expected - although Grade 4 exposing organs was a notable exception! Overall she felt the article was quite supportive of TVNs and welcomed the reaction that the article might provoke.
The Your Turn campaign for pressure sores has also picked up on the Daily Mail's interest in pressure ulcers and is keen to remind TVS members not to forget that they are here to help (see www.your-turn.org.uk for further information).
