The TVS has organised over 40 scientific and clinical conferences since 1981 - these now are held each spring and attract a large audience and commercial exhibition. Delegates come from across the UK and increasingly from mainland Europe.
The annual conference is not the only event we host. Over the last few years we have introduced one-day regional conferences to explore practical issues in tissue viability. Members of the TVS can download presentations from these conferences and selected slides are also available to whet the appetite of non TVS members.
Since the mid 1980's we have organised many hundreds of regional study days (RSD). These innovative events allow 2 nationally recognised speakers to be brought to local work-places to deliver presentations on pressure ulcer prevention and treatment and general wound management. Each RSD is accompanied by a small commercial exhibition and is intended to be offered at no cost to Natioanl Health Service staff. Obviously there needs to be sufficient participants at each RSD to make the day viable - this site provides you with information upon the route to bringing an RSD to your work-place in the UK along with the practical requirements for a successful event.
